single bet calculator
So — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I'm in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, for context.
How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn't ever figure out what an each way return would be once you get five places instead of three. I'd just guess and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that's where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at calculate lucky 63 — free, no signup.
What actually changed how I bet is the nerdier bits. There's an probability thing that shows the overround, and there's the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too for when I'm covering two or three runners.
It's not perfect mind. The design is very functional, let's say — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it's usable though the acca grid are a squeeze. There's no proper app, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.
Right, that's me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
