single bet calculator
Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe a few months now and it's stuck on my phone, so thought I'd write something up since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, so take it how you like.
The reason I started using it was genuinely pretty stupid — I could never work out what an e/w return would be once you get five places instead of three. I'd just wing it and get a shock. Now I stick my stake in first, every time, even a straight one-selection punt.
Their single bet calculator tool is the part I'm on daily — you put in the price and your stake and you get profit and total return with no faffing, fractions or decimals. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, which is where most people I know mess it up. If you want a look, it's over at working out lucky 15 — free, no signup.
The thing that genuinely shifted things for me were the more serious tools. They've got an implied probability calculator and it makes obvious how much the bookie's taking, plus a kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit for when I'm spreading across selections.
Couple of gripes. Its interface is very functional, let's say — zero flash, it's clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works though the lucky 63 breakdown need a bit of scrolling. And no app, it's a website and that's it — doesn't bother me but worth saying.
So yeah. Costs nowt, barely any ads, does the job. If anyone honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — it's saved me a fair few arguments with the bookie.

So — been on this thing for about six months now and I keep coming back, so thought I'd say something since a lad on another thread asked me the other day. I'm in the UK, mainly bet football and racing, small stakes, for context.
How I found it was genuinely a bit daft — I couldn't ever figure out what an each way return would be once you get five places instead of three. I'd just guess and then be surprised. Now punch the numbers in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator is the bit I use most — you drop in your stake, the odds and you get returns instantly, fractions or decimals. It also handles the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15s, yankees, honestly that's where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at calculate lucky 63 — free, no signup.
What actually changed how I bet is the nerdier bits. There's an probability thing that shows the overround, and there's the kelly criterion calculator — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is handy too for when I'm covering two or three runners.
It's not perfect mind. The design is very functional, let's say — not much frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On mobile it's usable though the acca grid are a squeeze. There's no proper app, just the site — fine by me but worth saying.
Right, that's me. Free, no ads shoved in your face, does what it says. If you still works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saved me a load of dumb bets I'd have regretted.
